Top 3 Youtubers (2022)

Hi Again! This post will be a love letter to my three favorite people to watch while I paint my toenails or apply my makeup. I definitely watched more youtube back in middle/high school, but I still have a few favorites I keep up to date with. Every one of these creators has contributed to my knowledge of three of my favorite topics. (outside of makeup)

Bussy Queen

Although my love of drag has never wavered, this creator has reignited my love of Rupaul’s Drag Race. I have been watching the show since the 3rd season aired, but I lost interest due to the many spin offs being aired along with multiple all stars seasons airing along with the main US season. I think I felt overwhelmed by my the sheer magnitude of content being pushed out, so I slowly let myself fall behind on the show. Bussy Queen is a drag artist themself with over 200k subscribers. They typically post videos pertaining to Rupaul’s Drag Race in their episodic rating series “Hot or Rot”, where they talk through and rate contestants of Rupaul’s Drag Race on their runway looks as well as their performances. Mina Le

Mina Le is a youtuber that I have recently found. Even though I love makeup and certainly put in my time in watching plenty of NikkieTutorials’ and Michelle Phan’s videos, I have always loved fashion as well. I feel that fashion is a bit more daunting, and this is probably why I have waited so long to finally find Mina’s channel. Mina Le’s videos mostly consist of Mina Le sitting in front of a camera and talking into her mic giving information dumps of fashion wisdom. She also touches on the gritty side of the fashion and beauty industry in a way that is incredibly refreshing. One of my favorite videos that she has made is “the eternal relevance of Audrey Hepburn”.

Bailey Sarian

Forget youtuber, Bailey Sarian is one of, if not, my favorite influencer of all time. She gained quite a following after starting her series “MurderMystery&Makeup”. She combines the two things I love the most: true crime and makeup. Not only does she blend the two together in such an inviting and amusing way, but she is also an extremely amazing makeup artist. The first video I ever watched of her’s was “The ToyBox Mystery – David Parker Ray”. I was completely hooked by her comedic and impactful storytelling abilities, and I stayed when I realized her makeup looks are what I always aspire to achieve. 100% recommend watching her videos while doing your own makeup.
